Hike in the beautiful Guatemalan highlands, witness volcanoes, mountains and of course Lake Atitlan. During the trek, you will walk by a wide variety of exotic flora and of course its fauna. The first night we will spend with a local family in Quetzaltenango (Xela) and the second night with a Quiche Mayan family in Santa Clara La Laguna.
At 6:00am we leave from Quetzaltenango in the direction of Xecam, Cantel 2,450m. The first two hours we will climb 3,050m which is the hardest part of the hike in the region known as Altiplano Alaska. We will then descend and stay with a local family, altogether we will travel 18km the first day.
Leave at 6:00am and head towards Santa Clara La Laguna, where we will spend the day with a local family. Altogether, we will walk 22km.
We will wake-up at 4:00am to watch the sunrise at viewpoint Countenance Maya, where we will have breakfast with magnificent panoramic views of the lake and the three towering volcanoes: San Pedro, Toliman and Atitlan. We will walk a total of 11km on this day.
The adventure begins from San Pedro La Laguna or Lake Atitlan area.

What to bring: Backpack, water, sunscreen, warm clothing, rain jacket, sunglasses, thermal clothing, extra dry clothes, hiking shoes, camera with extra batteries (if you have one) snacks and flash light or headlamp.
